GenAI Security Engineer

Overview

Build and implement next-generation security controls to protect agentic and human-in-the-loop GenAI systems and applications.

What you'll do

• Develop and operate GenAI security controls, including guardrails for model usage and API integrations.
• Secure agent/tool-calling and connector workflows to prevent tool abuse and data exfiltration.
• Lead AI threat modeling and risk assessments and drive mitigations for multiple GenAI attack types.
• Define secure-by-default reference architectures for cloud-native and hybrid GenAI workloads.
• Develop and improve monitoring and detection for anomalous AI behavior and unsafe outputs.
• Lead incident response and remediation for AI security events and data breaches.
• Translate policy and regulatory requirements into implementation artifacts, evidence, and audit-ready documentation.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding in Python, Go, and/or Java.
• Experience building containerized services using Kubernetes.
• Experience with AI/ML and/or GenAI tools and technologies.
• Experience defining and implementing infrastructure and application pipelines.
• Expert understanding of software development methodologies and concepts.
• Background in cybersecurity, including threat modeling and security engineering practices.
• Ability to deliver production-ready security controls and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Details

• Annual base salary range: $225,000–$300,000 (USD).
