Graduate Trainee (Marine HR)

Overview

A structured 6-month Graduate Trainee program in Marine HR, building skills in seafarer documentation, flag state licensing, crew travel coordination and seafarer welfare under an assigned manager or mentor.

What you'll do

• Support the verification and administration of mandatory seafarer documents, certifications, licenses and regulatory requirements, including document validation, record maintenance and preparation of seafarer-related documentation.
• Support crew changes and coordination activities to ensure timely deployment and movement of seafarers, including travel and documentation coordination, stakeholder communication and vessel mail dispatch administration.
• Support initiatives that promote seafarer wellbeing and engagement with seafarers and their families, including communication and engagement activities, welfare support initiatives and family outreach programs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Maritime Studies, Business Administration or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office or equivalent), comfortable organizing records and working with digital filing systems and internal business applications, with a strong process and AI orientation.
• Accurate and thorough with seafarer records, certificates and licenses, with good analytical and problem-solving ability and the capacity to manage multiple follow-ups and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive attitude, openness to feedback, eagerness to learn maritime HR operations, and respect for confidentiality, data protection and company policies.

Nice to have

• Additional courses in AI, ML or Data Analytics.
