Group Product Manager, Money Movement

Overview

Lead the product strategy and reliability standards for money movement across Coinbase's fiat and crypto systems. Own controls, detection, tracing, and remediation for fund flows across payment rails, blockchains, ledgers, and customer accounts.

What you'll do

• Own the multi-year vision and strategy for money movement reliability and controls.
• Define service levels and resolution targets across fund-flow rails.
• Build infrastructure that determines, verifies, and confirms required controls before funds move.
• Drive real-time detection and end-to-end tracing across payment rails, blockchains, controls, and ledgers.
• Scale control proposals, alert triage, and remediation through governed AI agents.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and product teams to establish control ownership.
• Hold teams accountable for their money flows and reliability standards.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of product management experience.
• Deep expertise in money movement, payments infrastructure, ledgering, or financial platforms at scale.
• Experience owning strategy for large-scale payment, transfer, ledger, reconciliation, or reliability systems.
• Technical fluency in distributed systems, event streaming, idempotency, and double-entry ledgering.
• Knowledge of reconciliation and preventive and detective controls.
• Ability to establish standards across organizational boundaries in regulated environments.
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

• Remote in the United States.
• Quarterly in-person working sessions are expected.
• Annual base salary: $243,865–$286,900 USD.
