Overview
GSOC Response & Policy Program Specialist defining how Anthropic’s Global Security Operations Center detects, responds to, and recovers from incidents, and converting that work into approved, operator- and business-facing playbooks.
What you'll do
- Author the GSOC plan and policy, including functions, severity matrix, communication templates, and service levels.
- Design global incident- and event-specific response protocols with operator and business-facing playbooks.
- Define and obtain approval for incident response tooling, channels, and the path for employee advisories.
- Build an on-call rotation and call tree to ensure Incident Commander coverage.
- Coordinate Legal, HR, Communications, and Employee Relations to align notification thresholds/obligations.
- Train and roll out the approved standards through socialization and delivery.
- Assist in incident response and act as the liaison between GSOC and Crisis Management.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of professional experience in GSOCs, security operations, emergency/crisis management, business continuity, incident command, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Authored security, safety, or emergency response policy that was formally approved and adopted.
- Served as Incident Commander or in an equivalent command role during live incidents.
- Working knowledge of ISO 22320:2018 (or equivalent incident command systems such as ICS/NIMS) and severity/tiering frameworks.
- Experience writing clearly for non-specialist audiences and tailoring content for operator, business partner, and executive audiences.
Details
- On-call requirement and after-hours availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Scope includes incidents on site, off site, and during travel, including natural disasters, across regions Anthropic operates in.
- Annual compensation range: $180,000–$230,000 USD.
- Location: expects staff to be in one of the company’s offices at least 25% of the time (hybrid).
