Hardware Design Engineer - PCB, Schematic, board design - 4 to 7yrs

Overview

Hardware Design Engineer on Cisco's Common Hardware Group, contributing to system hardware design across specification, design, development and test for Cisco's Switching, Routing and Wireless products.

What you'll do

• Participate and contribute to the system hardware design.
• Contribute to hardware specification, design, development and test.
• Work under department strategy and direction.
• Work closely with software, diagnostics, manufacturing, marketing, EDVT and MDVT test teams throughout the development process.

What you'll need

• BSEE or MSEE with 5+ years of experience in hardware board design and development.
• Prior experience in designing with x86 and/or ARM processors.
• Prior experience in designing with DDR4/DDR5 memory, PCIe gen1/gen2, SATA, USB.
• Experience in schematic capture tools like Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL (Concept HDL).

Nice to have

• Prior experience in designing Ethernet (10/100/1000Mbps, 10GE, 25GE, 40GE, 100GE) and serial interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, etc.
