Overview
Health AI ML Data Scientist role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining AI/ML solutions for healthcare, public health, biomedical research, and operational decision-making.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI and machine learning solutions for healthcare and public health use cases.
- Apply AI, automation, and advanced analytics to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
- Build AI-enabled workflow solutions for document processing, knowledge management, and decision support.
- Develop Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, AI agents, and prompt engineering.
- Develop predictive, classification, clustering, NLP, and computer vision models using structured and unstructured data.
- Evaluate, validate, and monitor model performance, explainability, fairness, bias, and operational effectiveness.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience developing AI/ML solutions using Python and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience applying AI to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Experience developing Generative AI applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, or RAG.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and cloud-based data platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher federal security clearance as required; U.S. citizenship required.
