Overview
Provide healthcare consulting services that help organizations meet Life Safety, fire safety, physical environment, and emergency management requirements under CMS and accrediting organization standards.
What you'll do
- Lead on-site physical environment assessments and multiday healthcare facility surveys.
- Document findings and develop plans of correction with clients.
- Assess emergency management programs and conduct hazard vulnerability analyses.
- Develop policies, procedures, training, and simulation exercises.
- Deliver fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention training.
- Manage client engagements and support business development activities.
- Monitor changes in regulations, accreditation standards, and professional practice.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of healthcare consulting or compliance experience.
- Experience with life safety, environment of care or physical environment, and emergency management.
- Experience leading client engagements and implementing stakeholder solutions.
- Knowledge of NFPA 101 and related standards, including NFPA 13, 72, and 25.
- Understanding of the CMS 2016 Emergency Preparedness Rule and relevant NFPA standards.
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technology platforms.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in fire protection, fire science, safety, emergency management, or a related field.
- Associate degree with relevant experience.
- CHFM or CFPS certification.
Details
- Remote in the United States; candidates in the western United States are preferred.
- Domestic travel up to 50%, with potential international assignments.
- Travel typically alternates between a week at home and a week at a client site.
- National pay range: $115,000–$150,000 USD yearly.
