Overview
Hitachi Storage Engineer role focused on designing, supporting, and troubleshooting Hitachi storage systems and related infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Analyze and troubleshoot storage issues using OpsCenter Analyzer and Hitachi Tuning Manager.
- Plan, verify, and validate patches and microcode upgrades.
- Configure RAID groups, storage pools, and storage tiering.
- Handle SAN configuration and management, including SAN switch operations.
- Work on fabric operations such as ISL/ICL setup, fabric merging, trunking, and switch migrations.
- Use replication technologies (e.g., Shadow Image, True Copy, HUR, GAD) in HORCM configurations.
What you'll need
- 12–14 years of total experience is required.
- Strong background in Hitachi storage technologies is preferred.
- Expertise in Hitachi storage arrays including USPV, USP-VM, HUS, VSP, VSP G Series, VSP 5K, VSP F Series, HNAS, HCP, and UCP.
- Hands-on experience with Hitachi tools such as OpsCenter, OpsCenter Analyzer, Tuning Manager, HDCA, Command Suite, Storage Navigator, HTSM, HORCM, CCI, and HRPM.
- Knowledge of replication technologies including Shadow Image (COW), True Copy, HUR, GAD, and HORCM configurations.
- Experience with virtualization and migration techniques such as NDM and UVM.
