  • Build and execute comprehensive regression and E2E test suites using modern automation tools such as Playwright and API testing frameworks.
  • Partner with development teams early in the software lifecycle to establish quality requirements, improve testability, and prevent defects before deployment.
  • Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing, faster feedback loops, and quality gates throughout the software delivery process.
  • Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing to identify bottlenecks and ensure application reliability under production workloads.
  • Develop custom automation utilities, frameworks, and testing solutions using programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Support testing of applications running on Kubernetes and cloud platforms while validating resiliency, scalability, and deployment readiness.
  • Establish quality metrics, test coverage reporting, defect trend analysis, and actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop automated API, contract, and integration tests to validate microservices and enterprise integrations.
  • Develop and execute automated tests across desktop, mobile, and cross-browser environments to ensure a consistent customer experience.
  • Quickly develop an understanding of Employee Benefits products, business processes, customer journeys, and regulatory requirements to ensure effective test coverage and quality outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Architects, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices, automation-first testing strategies, and modern quality engineering methodologies.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), software development, quality engineering, test automation, or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience developing automated UI and end-to-end tests using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience with test automation, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong software development skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages, including object-oriented programming principles and automation framework development.
  • Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and acceptance test automation practices.
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL query development, data validation, and test data management.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks and reusable test libraries.
