Work as an Industrial Robotics and Simulation Engineer on Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies supporting a fully integrated Digital Twin. The role covers robotic simulation, virtual commissioning, perception, controls, industrial architecture and technical project leadership.
What you'll do
- Design and validate robotic cells within DELMIA/3DX, ensuring accurate kinematics and workspace optimization.
- Execute complex path planning and Offline Programming (OLP) to ensure collision-free and efficient robotic motion.
- Implement computer vision algorithms and sensor fusion using LiDAR and 3D cameras for real-time object recognition, part localization and obstacle avoidance.
- Lead the virtual commissioning of robotic systems to validate PLC logic and HMI interfaces before physical deployment.
- Develop custom robotic applications and troubleshoot complex system behaviours using C++ and Python.
- Use Matlab-Simulink, Open Modelica and Control Build to model electro-mechanical devices and simulate dynamic system responses.
- Implement PLC and HMI solutions and establish communication protocols using TIA Portal and Simatic Manager between robotic controllers and factory systems.
- Integrate real-time simulation with physical control hardware for vertical integration of the robotic stack.
- Take ownership of work packages and lead technical reviews.
- Coordinate the exchange of technical data between internal and global stakeholders on architecture projects.
- Maintain documentation of robotic application developments, version controls and changes for traceability and scalability.
- Align the robotics roadmap with long-term business goals and capture stakeholder needs to define architectural solutions.
- Work independently and in a team in a transnational environment.
- Work on multiple projects and drive innovation initiatives.
- Support compliance awareness and act with integrity.
