Infrastructure Automation Developer

Overview

Build infrastructure automation, self-service capabilities and scalable infrastructure solutions by combining infrastructure knowledge with a developer mindset, working closely with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps and platform teams.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver infrastructure automation across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Build reusable automation using Ansible, Python, Shell and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching and lifecycle activities.
• Develop self-service infrastructure solutions through pipelines, APIs, portals or service catalogs.
• Integrate automation with DevOps, ITSM, monitoring and cloud platforms.
• Apply security, testing, logging, validation and governance standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to create scalable automation standards and reusable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve existing automation and pipelines.

What you'll need

• Skills in Ansible, Python and Shell scripting.
• Terraform / Terraform Enterprise experience.
• Experience with Azure.
• Kubernetes automation.
• Experience with REST APIs and API-driven infrastructure.
• Experience with GitOps practices.
• Experience developing internal developer platforms or platform-engineering capabilities.
• Experience with infrastructure portals, service catalogs or self-service platforms.
• Knowledge of security, policy-as-code and infrastructure governance.
• Experience with testing infrastructure automation and implementing automated quality gates.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile and Scrum to identify inefficiencies through readiness assessments and develop strategies to optimize the implementation of IT or cloud resources and capabilities.
