IT Business Analyst - US 360 Insights Engineering

Overview

Principal/IT Business Systems Analyst role supporting commercial technology solutions for US and global affiliates. You will translate complex business problems into technical requirements across products, data platforms, integrations, and AI/GenAI capabilities.

What you'll do

• Translate ambiguous commercial problems into functional and technical requirements with discovery and requirement definition.
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, data requirements, and traceability.
• Decompose initiatives into engineering-ready capabilities while identifying scope, dependencies, edge cases, data issues, and operational risks.
• Bridge business stakeholders and technical teams in discussions about architecture, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, integrations, authentication/authorization, and AI services.
• Use SQL to investigate data, validate assumptions, troubleshoot issues, and support requirement definition.
• Translate analytics/reporting needs into data definitions, metrics, business rules, and transformations.
• Shape AI-enabled solutions by applying working knowledge of LLMs, prompting, RAG, agents, evaluation, and enterprise AI integration patterns.

What you'll need

• Experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar technology-facing role.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with SQL to independently analyze and validate data.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements/technical documentation.
• Experience partnering with software engineers, data engineers, architects, product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and written/verbal communication with an ownership mindset.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, relational databases/data models, and cloud-based services.
• Working knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP and modern cloud architecture patterns.
