IT Operations Engineer - SAP BTP

Overview

Operate and support Shell’s central SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) landscape, helping maintain stable, secure, and reliable services. The role works with service management, application support, project delivery teams, infrastructure suppliers, and SAP.

What you'll do

• Resolve second-line operational incidents and BTP tickets.
• Investigate problems, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Automate operational tasks using Java or Python scripting.
• Maintain Azure virtual machines supporting BTP connectivity services.
• Deliver new BTP platform capabilities and customer demands.
• Analyze business processes and translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Resolve escalated technical application and infrastructure incidents within business SLAs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s in Technology or a related degree.
• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of scripting, automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or BTP platforms.
• Experience with SAP Basis administration and database management.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA administration and cloud integrations.
• Strong problem analysis, troubleshooting, communication, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• HANA Cloud DBA or HANA performance-tuning skills.
• Oracle DBA or ABAP performance-tuning expertise.
