Overview
IT Support Engineer supporting employee technology and IT operations using a service mindset across a primarily macOS environment.
What you'll do
- Triaging and resolving end-user issues across hardware, software, networking, and accounts via a ticketing system.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues across macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android, and core SaaS platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian).
- Troubleshooting device issues including enrollment, configuration profiles, and policy enforcement.
- Managing access and employee lifecycle workflows including onboarding, offboarding, and reorgs.
- Handling escalations that require cross-team coordination.
- Participating in an on-call rotation for urgent issues outside business hours.
- Writing and maintaining internal documentation (runbooks, how-to guides, knowledge base articles).
What you'll need
- 7+ years of hands-on IT support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical, curious, persistent approach.
- Demonstrated experience supporting macOS endpoints.
- Comfort supporting ChromeOS, iOS, and Android.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration.
- Experience with Slack administration, including workspace management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Basic scripting experience (Bash or Python) for automation.
Details
- Role is based in the San Francisco office with a 4 day/week in-office expectation.
- Annual salary range: $180,000 to $230,000 USD.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
