IT Systems Engineer

Overview

Porch Group is hiring an IT Systems Engineer (Remote, India) to design, implement, and manage complex IT infrastructure and systems for the Information Technology team.

What you'll do

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, endpoint management tools, SaaS applications, and cloud environments.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and deployments to minimize disruption and maximize performance.
• Monitor and improve performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for reliability and scalability.
• Tackle advanced troubleshooting for complex system, network, and application deployments with root-cause analysis.
• Create automation and endpoint management solutions using PowerShell and Bash, enhanced by agentic AI platforms.
• Ensure security practices including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance (NIST, CIS, SOX, PCI, ITGC).
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans and document configurations and procedures.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 8+ years of progressive IT experience.
• Practical knowledge of Azure, Windows, MacOS, and virtualization platforms (e.g., AVD).
• Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell and Bash.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Anthropic Claude.
• Experience with endpoint management tools, including custom packages and full endpoint lifecycle management.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and adapt to rapidly changing environments.

• Location/workplace: India, Remote.
• Working hours: 8 hours excluding breaks, with 4 core US hours overlap (7:30pm–11:30pm IST) and 4 flexible hours (IST).
