Sr Systems Engineer - ESP - India

Overview

Sr Systems Engineer supporting incident response, monitoring, and operations for Markets systems, including work towards migration to Google Cloud Platform.

What you'll do

• Own and resolve escalated incidents during incident response and on-call rotation.
• Identify and mitigate root causes across distributed computing architectures and platforms.
• Support migration of Markets applications & infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Markets systems with systems engineers, SREs, and product engineering teams.
• Improve observability and alerting for faster issue detection and incident resolution.
• Deliver moderately-complex incidents, problems, and changes with accountability.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years experience with Linux & Windows operating systems support and administration.
• Minimum 3 years supporting cloud-based platform(s).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with metrics & monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code.
• Competent scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
