Java Backend Developer

Overview

Capco is hiring a Java Backend Developer in Bangalore to build and maintain backend services and APIs for banking, financial and energy clients.

What you'll do

• Drive analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and obtain broader buy-in across global stakeholders.
• Proactively share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks with stakeholders and the team.
• Lead and manage technical aspects of API framework design and development.
• Understand overall production incidents and RCA for any feature that is delivered.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Microservices and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Webservices, Microservices, SOAP and REST.
• Experience with TDD and BDD.
• Must have experience with one of cloud (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• Basic knowledge of databases.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS design, Kafka, Kubernetes ECS3, and workflows such as Camunda BPM.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Knowledge of Kafka.
