Java Backend Developer + Kafka +GCP

Overview

Capco is seeking a Java Backend Developer for its Bangalore office to build and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and Kafka.

What you'll do

• Drive analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and obtain broader buy-in across global stakeholders.
• Pro-actively share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers and forthcoming tasks with stakeholders and the team.
• Lead and manage technical aspects of API framework design and development.
• Handle production incidents and RCA for any feature that is delivered.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Microservices and Kafka.
• Java, Spring Boot and Microservices, with expected knowledge of Kafka.
• Basic knowledge of databases.
• Experience with TDD and BDD.
• Must have experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containers.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Web Services, Microservices, SOAP and REST.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS design, Kafka, Kubernetes ECS3, and workflows such as Camunda BPM.
