Java Lead Engineer – Vice President, Software Engineering

Overview

Java Lead Engineer at Vice President level for Finance Operations & Risk Tech, responsible for managing and developing a Java application.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain a Java-based application.
• Own complete development for a new platform aligned to established best practices and group standards.
• Drive adoption focus including Gen AI, usability, cloud adoption, and user experience.
• Support software development across requirement analysis, design, and development.
• Help the team improve agile development practices.

What you'll need

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience with Java EE and core Java.
• Experience with web service development, REST, Kafka, and services-oriented architecture.
• Expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
• Working knowledge of databases including SQL proficiency.
• GenAI agentic tooling awareness/experience.
• Experience with Spring and JUnit/BDD-style automated testing frameworks.
