Java/Python AWS Engineer

Overview

Java/Python AWS Engineer to design, develop, and improve scalable software solutions using engineering methodologies and AWS.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
• Implement unit testing practices to improve design, readability, and reliability.
• Contribute to risk mitigation and strengthen controls related to assigned work.

What you'll need

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale applications using Java.
• Experience with Spring Boot, React.js, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to develop unit tests for high code quality and maturity metrics.
• Experience implementing scalable solutions using scaled agile methodologies.
• Experience with AWS and solving complex business issues.
• Automation and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Security compliance knowledge and AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, and IAM.

Nice to have

• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Java.
• Working knowledge of Linux and networking, routing, and firewalls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Collaborative mindset focused on team success.
