Java Software Developer

Overview

Java Software Developer responsible for building high-performance trading systems and applications. The role covers end-to-end product development in collaboration with traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to translate trading requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, build, test, and deploy high-performance Java systems.
• Own projects from requirements gathering through architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Write reliable, testable, and maintainable software.
• Balance latency, throughput, scalability, simplicity, and speed to market.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with engineering teams.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of professional Software Engineer experience.
• A strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C++, Python, Kotlin, or another modern language.
• Understanding of algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, garbage collection, and concurrency.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of solutions.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Interest in financial markets or trading.

Nice to have

• Prior Java experience.
• Prior experience in trading or related industries.
