Overview
Java Software Engineer at Vice President level, joining a permanent feature team to design, produce, test, and implement working software across the system lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Design, produce, test, and implement working software across the system lifecycle.
- Apply Agile methods to develop software on the backlog.
- Produce resilient, long-lived software and adapt to future needs.
- Deliver architecture and formulate emergent design via ideas, experimentation, and prototyping.
- Design and develop software focusing on automation of build, test, and deployment.
- Develop knowledge across business, applications, data, and infrastructure and liaise with principal engineers/architects and stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 12 years of strong full stack experience in software design and implementation.
- Ability to exploit programming languages to solve complex problems.
- Capability for complex requirements analysis, capture, and validation against business and systems requirements.
- Experience leading programming best practices focused on scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance.
- Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture for scalable, secure, high-performing applications.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs, working with databases, messaging systems, and external services.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployment, observability, and monitoring.
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills for pragmatic solutions and explaining technical concepts simply.

- Experience of information security policies and practices within the financial sector.
