Overview

Senior Software Engineer developing and improving FactSet’s Order Management System platform in Hyderabad. The role combines backend Java services and frontend application development.

What you'll do

• Design and develop OMS features for new and existing products.
• Develop backend services and frontend applications.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot software issues.
• Maintain engineering best practices and code quality.
• Refactor and improve platform performance.
• Contribute hands-on to software development projects.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of programming experience with Java and frontend frameworks.
• Experience with ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with distributed systems or large-scale applications.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Vitest, Jest, Mocha, or Playwright.
• Exposure to CI/CD workflows or automation tools.
• Problem-solving, communication, and team-support skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial trading applications, especially OMS or EMS.
• Familiarity with multithreaded programming and scalable frontend solutions.
• Understanding of trading workflows, FIX protocol, or market data integration.
• Experience with system upgrades or technology improvements.
