Junior Engineer / Engineer - Field Quality (NBS)

Overview

KONE is seeking a Junior Engineer / Engineer for Field Quality (NBS) in its Chennai RSO team, responsible for inspection, audit and quality activities at installation, maintenance or production sites.

What you'll do

• Prepare inspection plans and procedures/instructions, communicate them and ensure their implementation by giving guidance and support to operators
• Perform sample tests and process audits and ensure the measurement system is correctly implemented
• Create reports regarding quality measurements and inspections, keep records of inspection results and ensure correct calibration of measurement equipment
• Communicate inspection and audit results to relevant stakeholders such as Quality Manager/Specialist, Installation/Maintenance/Production Supervisor, Field Trainer and Project Manager
• Raise containment actions, identify best practices and improvement opportunities
• Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions
• Engage and train operatives at installation, maintenance or production sites
• Prepare summaries of inspection results for customer communication and site meetings
• Carry out and submit material and work inspections
• Participate as KONE representative in client inspections where contractually required
• Lead clearance of non-conformities highlighted by the client
• Prepare and participate in project close-out documents such as SEB inspection and snag items
