Overview
Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities as an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst. Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.
What you'll do
- Analyze requirements, custom design solutions, and troubleshoot complex software and application problems.
- Generate reports for analytics across clients’ lines of business following the ETL process to deliver meaningful insights about their data.
- Design, develop, and test ETL processes and Ab Initio graphs.
- Develop strategies for extraction, transformation, and loading mechanisms using Ab Initio.
- Work on projects following Agile methodology, including sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, backlog management, and active sprints.
- Manage the work of a team of data engineers working on the Big Data Platform.
- Work closely with the Olympus data model, core and product processor teams, and drive the build out and migration of DMS SPIDER and LOPR feeds to Olympus using the Olympus framework.
- Perform all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation in agile development lifecycles.
- Perform unit testing and system testing for applications and enhancements, and ensure that all critical and high-severity bugs are addressed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one area of Applications Development.
- Align to Engineering Excellence Development principles and standards.
- Promote and increase Development Productivity scores for coding.
- Adhere to and evangelize a full Continuous Integration and Continuous Deploy pipeline.
- Extract, analyze, and reconcile huge data sets using SQL.
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative taking.
What you'll need
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, ETL, with emphasis on Ab Initio.
- Experience mapping requirements, custom designing solutions, and troubleshooting complex software and application problems.
- Experience generating reports for analytics across clients’ lines of business following the ETL process.
- Good knowledge of ETL design, development, and testing of Abinitio graphs and database queries.
- Good knowledge of developing extraction, transformation, and loading strategies using Ab Initio.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good experience in Ab Initio, Conduct It, and EME.
- Knowledge of Continuous Flow, Metadata Hub, Meta Programming, PDL, and PSET.
- Good Unix Shell scripting and SQL knowledge.
- Knowledge of any scheduling tool, such as Tivoli, Control M, or Autosys.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong SQL skills to extract, analyze, and reconcile huge data sets.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile development and scrums is highly beneficial.
