Lead AI Feature Engineer

Overview

Lead AI Feature Engineer responsible for creating reusable, production-grade feature data products that support Data Science, Machine Learning and AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain features from enterprise, scientific, laboratory and instrument data.
• Run data exploration, feature engineering and feature-selection experiments.
• Build reusable feature data products, feature stores and feature-generation pipelines.
• Establish practices for feature quality, lineage, monitoring, documentation and lifecycle management.
• Partner with Data Scientists, AI Scientists, AI Engineers, Product Owners and Architects.
• Translate business and scientific challenges into scalable feature assets and predictive capabilities.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, feature engineering and predictive modelling.
• Knowledge of data preparation, feature extraction, dimensionality reduction and feature selection.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and model performance optimisation.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, notebooks, machine learning libraries and modern data-processing frameworks.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and feature-generation workflows in cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building feature stores, reusable feature repositories or feature-engineering frameworks.
• Experience with gradient boosting, ensemble methods, Bayesian modelling, optimisation, forecasting or advanced statistics.
• Experience in life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare, laboratory or advanced manufacturing environments.
