Overview
Lead AWS Engineer responsible for building, operating, and improving a reliable, scalable AWS platform. The role includes incident leadership, automation, observability, technical mentoring, and collaboration with US-based stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Lead incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution across core AWS services.
- Implement reliability improvements through automation, monitoring, and architectural optimization.
- Build Python or PowerShell automation for self-healing workflows.
- Enforce AWS security practices, including least privilege and access reviews.
- Manage SSM fleet operations, patching, remote execution, and automation.
- Govern S3 storage, lifecycle policies, encryption, access controls, and data protection.
- Lead on-call rotations, mentor engineers, and drive platform improvements.
What you'll need
- 6–8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
- Strong AWS experience across EC2, S3, SSM, IAM, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SCPs, SSO, VPC, RDS, and AWS AI Services.
- Strong automation experience with Python and Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of IAM, security best practices, and cloud governance.
- Experience with CloudWatch or equivalent observability tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with distributed or global teams.
