Overview

Sr Staff Software Engineer (SD-WAN, Controller) - NetSec working on engineering for SD-WAN products and cloud-based security product infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Own the full software development life cycle from requirements to support.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable security and networking features.
• Innovate new product features using feedback from customers, partners, and support engineers.
• Troubleshoot changes to maintain high-quality product output.
• Explain cloud computing, cloud security, and networking concepts to diverse audiences.
• Communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of career-level software development experience.
• Hands-on programming proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience applying AI throughout the software development life cycle (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude).
• Experience designing/building/operating highly available, performant microservices and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging infrastructure (e.g., Apache Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub).
• Cloud experience specifically with AWS or GCP.
• Production experience building and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes.
