Overview

Lead Engineer for an AI payments mobile app, providing hands-on technical leadership and technical ownership from design through production.

What you'll do

• Lead technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on via coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production issue solving.
• Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs across speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Break ambiguous product/technical problems into clear engineering solutions and execution plans.
• Monitor production, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and improve reliability post-release.

What you'll need

• Significant experience building and shipping production systems.
• Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems.
• Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
• Comfort reviewing code and debugging complex issues tied to production systems.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions and influence engineers across teams.
