Lead Engineer (Vietnam)

Overview

Lead Engineer (Vietnam) is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on taking technical ownership of complex products and systems and raising the engineering bar across the team.

What you'll do

• Own technical design and execution for major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on with coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
• Make architecture decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Break ambiguous problems into clear solutions and execution plans.
• Monitor production, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and improve reliability after release.
• Mentor engineers and provide actionable feedback on designs and code.

What you'll need

• Significant experience building and shipping production systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills, including experience making decisions for complex/high-scale systems.
• Comfort reviewing code and debugging complex issues with direct production-system work.
• Experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to other engineers.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly and influence engineers across teams.
• Strong product sense connecting technical decisions to customer/business outcomes.
