Overview

Lead Engineer for a Stock Trading App, providing hands-on technical ownership and raising the engineering bar across the team.

What you'll do

• Lead technical design and execution of major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on via coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
• Make architecture decisions and trade-offs balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Break ambiguous technical problems into clear solutions and execution plans.
• Improve engineering tooling and development practices to increase team velocity.
• Own systems after release by monitoring production, investigating incidents, and improving reliability.

What you'll need

• Significant experience building and shipping production systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems.
• Ability to lead major engineering projects or provide technical leadership to other engineers.
• Comfort reviewing code, debugging complex issues, and working with production systems.
• Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and influence engineers across teams.
