Overview
Lead a team building scalable Java backend microservices and event-driven systems.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Implement asynchronous messaging and event-driven architecture with RabbitMQ.
- Integrate with relational and/or NoSQL databases and optimize queries.
- Apply engineering best practices including SOLID, design patterns, clean code, and unit testing.
- Improve resilience using retry, timeout, circuit breaker, idempotency, and graceful error handling.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support deployments with root-cause analysis.
What you'll need
- Strong Core Java knowledge, including OOP, collections, exception handling, streams, and concurrency basics.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with building REST APIs including request validation, pagination, error handling, and versioning.
- Experience with RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle) and ORM using Hibernate/JPA.
- Knowledge of Kafka.
Nice to have
- Spring Security and OAuth2/JWT (optional).
- Observability with logging/tracing/metrics (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub.
