Sr Engineer - Target India

Overview

Senior Engineer (Full Stack) for Target’s TES LegalTech Safe & Secure platform, building and enhancing services that support physical security and safety workflows across Target locations.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and support scalable full-stack applications and services on the Safe & Secure platform.
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions with scalable, maintainable, secure solutions.
• Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and event-driven services for connectivity across enterprise platforms.
• Apply modern engineering practices such as API-first design, observability, resiliency, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in operational support to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong experience with Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with secure access, safety communications, and crisis management systems is part of the platform scope.
• Strong experience with APIs, integration patterns, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to GenAI/ML ecosystems, Python, LLM integrations, or data engineering concepts is a plus.
• Experience mentoring peers through code reviews and technical guidance.
