Senior Engineer - Java + AI Engineer, AVP

Overview

As a Senior Engineer (Assistant Vice President) in Deutsche Bank’s Transaction Monitoring and Data Controls team, you will design, implement, and operationalize Java components and help build agentic AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Design and implement Java-based software components for Transaction Monitoring Data Controls applications.
• Contribute Cloud/AI capabilities to automate the applications.
• Collaborate across Cloud Platform, Security, Data, and Risk & Compliance to create business solutions.
• Identify opportunities and build agentic solutions in the team’s domain.
• Share knowledge and help create best practices through cross-TDI collaboration.

What you'll need

• Hands-on Java development experience (8/11/17+).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, and transactional databases.
• Experience with Java data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and REST APIs.
• Professional experience with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Experience working with Java components on GCP (App Engine, GKE, or Cloud Run).
• Experience with scalable, high-volume applications including performance tuning, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with at least one CI/CD tool (Team City, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
