Lead Network Automation Architect

Overview

Lead Network Automation Architect responsible for modernizing, automating, and improving reliability of large-scale global network infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design and implement Network-as-Code, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps solutions to remove manual deployment.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure with automated testing and deployment gates.
• Design, deploy, and support Kubernetes networking architectures including Project Calico, OVN, and VXLAN overlays.
• Lead enterprise network architecture modernization and reviews for routing, data center networking, and high availability.
• Act as Tier-4 escalation engineer for complex network incidents and troubleshooting.
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation to improve network reliability and scalability.
• Implement Security-as-Code for pre-production validation and enforcement of security policies.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in Network Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Git as the single source of truth.
• Hands-on expertise in network security (Palo Alto firewalls) and load balancing (F5 or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of Cisco IOS (Nexus OS preferred).
• Experience designing and operating Kubernetes networking (Project Calico, OVN, VXLAN, Kubernetes CNI).
• Hands-on GitOps and CI/CD tool experience including GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and overlay/underlay network architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with telecommunications technologies including SIP, RTP, and VoIP architectures.
• Knowledge of Linux networking including network namespaces, virtual interfaces, eBPF, and iptables.
• Experience implementing Telemetry-as-Code, observability, automated validation, and monitoring.
