Staff Software Engineer – AI Platform

Overview

Staff Software Engineer – AI Platform (Infrastructure) for the AI Platform team, building and operating backend and platform systems that power AI Platform insights.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate backend services and infrastructure powering AI Platform products.
• Write production code emphasizing maintainability, reliability, and performance.
• Architect distributed systems for real-time interactions, asynchronous processing, and secure data workflows.
• Build and extend cloud-native infrastructure across core services and observability layers.
• Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Build and operate Kubernetes/EKS-based services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability and secure-by-default practices across production operations.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform work.
• Strong production backend language proficiency such as Python (preferred), Go, or Java.
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and Docker with modern deployment practices.
• Experience designing or extending CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience in production environments.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database design in production systems.
