Lead Revenue Accountant

Overview

Lead Revenue Accountant responsible for accurate, compliant and timely revenue recognition across UKG's revenue offerings, partnering with U.S.-based Finance, Accounting and Systems teams within an automated revenue accounting environment. Reports to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting.

What you'll do

• Apply ASC 606 principles to analyze complex SaaS and services contracts.
• Partner with upstream teams to maintain data integrity across Microsoft Dynamics 365, RevPro, and source systems.
• Execute weekly and monthly revenue accounting processes and controls, investigating and resolving issues.
• Prepare journal entries and perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end flux analysis and reporting using large data sets and tools such as Excel and Power BI.
• Collaborate with Technical Accounting and FP&A to resolve revenue-related inquiries.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Support external audits and SOX compliance activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of corporate revenue accounting experience or 4+ years of public accounting experience with ASC 606 exposure.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large data sets.
• Experience working with large ERP general ledger systems.
• High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across global time zones, including U.S. stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, RevPro (Zuora), and Salesforce.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BI.
