Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, resilient, customer-facing enterprise software for digital transformation initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems.
• Build and enhance customer-facing applications focused on usability, performance, and security.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka and related messaging technologies.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Architecture, DevOps, and UI teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy/manage containerized apps using Kubernetes and Rancher.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API design/development.
• Experience developing distributed systems and scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance applications.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git/GitLab, and Jenkins/CloudBees.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Details

• Location: Chennai, India.
• Shift timings: 11 AM to 8 PM.
• Working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
