Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer to join Mastercard’s Emerging Payments Technology team in Pune. The role is hands-on development focused on Java SDKs and API services for digital payments.

What you'll do

• Design and implement SDKs and API services across multiple products and services.
• Collaborate with technical leads and Product Management on delivery.
• Work in an agile development methodology to build features and services.
• Mentor other engineers and collaborate with other delivery teams.
• Research new frameworks and technologies for implementations and prototypes.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality.

What you'll need

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), plus collaboration and organization skills.
• Hands-on experience with Java and J2EE and app servers.
• Experience integrating web services.
• Understanding of web and mobile browser-based applications.

Nice to have

• Agile/Scrum methodologies, test-driven development, and Git.
• eCommerce experience and continuous delivery/integration.
