Lead Technical Recruiter

Overview

Lead Technical Recruiter responsible for driving critical technical hiring and improving recruiting quality across the team.

What you'll do

• Lead the highest-priority technical searches across AI/ML, engineering leadership, backend, infrastructure, web, and mobile.
• Build search strategies and talent maps for scarce technical talent across global markets.
• Personally source, engage, assess, and close senior and difficult-to-hire candidates.
• Set a high bar for technical profile assessment and guide recruiters on evaluating technical depth.
• Partner with engineering leadership to define hiring profiles and calibrate interview standards.
• Coach technical recruiters on sourcing strategy, assessment, engagement, and closing.
• Review pipeline quality and recruiting data to adjust search strategy when needed.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of technical recruiting experience with significant ownership of senior/difficult engineering searches.
• A strong track record hiring high-quality engineers via direct sourcing and headhunting.
• Deep familiarity with technical talent markets and software engineering/AI/ML profiles.
• Ability to assess technical work versus branding, titles, or CV keywords.
• Experience partnering with senior engineering leaders on hiring strategy and calibration.
• Demonstrated ability to coach recruiters and improve sourcing and assessment quality.
• Strong judgement, urgency, and willingness to remain hands-on.

Nice to have

• Experience building or leading technical recruiting at an AI company or high-growth technology startup.
• Existing networks across AI/ML and engineering communities.
• Experience hiring across multiple markets including the US, Europe, and Asia.
