Low-Latency Market Data Engineer

Overview

Point72 is hiring a Low-Latency Market Data Engineer to design, implement, and support network, Linux, and market data systems in trading colocation environments.

What you'll do

• Design and implement network, Linux, and market data systems.
• Provide 3rd level support for network, Linux, and market data systems.
• Manage and implement infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations on co-located network devices and Linux servers.
• Support, monitor, and maintain co-location market data infrastructure running on RHEL.
• Analyze packet captures for gaps and data quality checks.
• Develop monitoring and streaming infrastructure using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Automate data gathering and configuration changes using Ansible, GitHub, and NetBox.

What you'll need

• At least 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Linux/Unix operating systems.
• 5+ years of network design experience supporting critical trading or enterprise services.
• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience supporting RHEL environments.
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools including Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with monitoring and instrumentation using Prometheus/Grafana.
• Experience with version control repositories (Bitbucket/GitHub) and CI/CD tools.
