Overview
Managed Services Analyst (MXDR) for a night-shift SOC role focused on monitoring, detection/triage, SIEM management, and incident support.
What you'll do
- Monitor intrusion detection, file integrity, endpoint protection, log management, and SIEM for security events.
- Analyze security events from logs and open-source intelligence to separate legitimate activity from false positives.
- Develop and maintain SIEM rules, alerts, dashboards, and custom queries for environment-specific needs.
- Maintain monitoring case management and ticketing for security activities and customer support.
- Collaborate with clients to configure SIEM tools to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Conduct near-real-time updates on cyber security status and support on-call rotations beyond business hours.
- Guide junior SOC analysts and assist with root-cause investigations across multiple technologies.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Prior experience performing as a SOC analyst.
- Working knowledge of SIEM solutions and incident management solutions.
- Technical understanding of core cybersecurity technologies and emerging capabilities.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- SOC analyst experience with incident management context is required.
Details
- Location: Bangalore, India.
- Work week: Saturday to Wednesday.
- Shift timings: 8 am to 5 pm.
