Overview
Manager-level Clinical Data Scientist role in Data & Quantitative Sciences, applying statistics and data science to support clinical development programs.
What you'll do
- Deliver analysis-ready data, quantitative analyses, visualizations, and interpretation summaries for assigned studies or workstreams.
- Execute clinical data science activities to support timely, high-quality analyses and quantitative insights.
- Perform exploratory analyses, data visualization, and quantitative assessments using clinical trial and related data sources.
- Translate scientific/clinical questions into analysis-ready datasets, specifications, and reproducible workflows.
- Use statistical, machine learning, simulation, and visualization methods to support interpretation of study results.
- Review internal/external outputs to ensure adherence to standards, processes, and quality expectations.
- Communicate risks related to data quality, analytical assumptions, timelines, and quantitative outputs.
What you'll need
- PhD in specified quantitative/biomedical fields, or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience contributing to quantitative analyses and data science in regulated clinical development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to support clinical development decisions via quantitative analysis, interpretation, and communication of evidence.
- Experience working on cross-functional study teams and collaborating across disciplines.
- Experience with clinical trial data plus at least one additional data type (e.g., biomarkers, real-world, external, imaging, digital health, high-dimensional data).
- Working knowledge of clinical trial design, endpoints, estimands, biomarkers, and analytics in clinical decision-making.
- Hands-on proficiency in R and/or Python, with working knowledge of SAS and SQL for reproducible, code-quality-focused workflows.
