Senior Data Scientist

Overview

Senior Data Scientist in MiQ’s data science department, responsible for end-to-end delivery of analytics and ML initiatives and driving impactful recommendations from model outputs.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end delivery of data science projects.
• Independently pitch and execute new analytics capabilities.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineering and Sales Engineering on deliverable timelines and progress.
• Identify client challenges and propose custom or existing data science capabilities with business impact.
• Provide actionable recommendations from outputs and create narratives for stakeholders/market.
• Visualize outputs clearly for stakeholders and connect insights to other media aspects.
• Drive initiatives for operational excellence within data science, coding, product and tech.

What you'll need

• 4+ years applying machine learning, statistical pattern recognition, and data mining to prediction problems.
• Experienced coder in Python/R.
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms and applications.
• Experience with SQL and hands-on Excel.
• Experience developing data pipelines and ML models in a cloud environment.
• Experience working at scale using PySpark/Spark (Pyspark/Rspark stated).
• Strong hands-on experience applying ML techniques to business problems.

• Maintain code versions and work in an agile mode.
