Overview

Lead Samsara’s Core Infrastructure team, combining technical and people leadership to scale foundational compute, networking, storage, and cloud systems.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed infrastructure team.
• Own technical strategy and roadmaps across core infrastructure domains.
• Improve capacity management, observability, failure isolation, rollouts, and incident learning.
• Build automation, paved paths, and self-service infrastructure for engineering teams.
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve engineering execution and reduce toil.
• Hire and lead an inclusive, high-performing team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• 2+ years managing software or infrastructure engineers.
• Experience leading and developing established engineering teams.
• Strong background in production infrastructure, cloud platforms, or distributed systems at scale.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and aligning teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-region public cloud, container orchestration, and declarative infrastructure.
• Experience leading modernization, reliability, disaster-recovery, or cloud-efficiency initiatives.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams.
• Practical experience using AI-enabled tools to improve engineering effectiveness.

Details

• Remote position open to candidates residing in Canada.
• Annual base salary: CAD 142,800–184,800.
• Full-time employees are eligible for an initial RSU grant and ongoing refresh opportunities.
