The role acts as a strategic legal partner across the organization on corporate matters, complex commercial contracts, and employment law issues arising from Arcesium's Indian and global operations.

What you'll do

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of procurement agreements, including SaaS/technology and vendor contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, MSAs, and SLAs.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates, playbooks, and contracting guidelines to streamline and standardize the contracting process across business teams.
  • Provide practical legal advice across the employment lifecycle, including employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and the enforceability of non-compete, non-solicit, and other restrictive covenants.
  • Guide Human Capital and management teams on workplace policies, employee benefits, performance management, code of conduct, statutory labour compliance, and dispute resolution or separations.
  • Manage and advise on internal investigations and compliance matters, including inquiries under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework and other employee grievances or disciplinary issues.
  • Advise executive leadership and business heads on corporate law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic initiatives under Indian law, including the Companies Act, FEMA, and FDI regulations, as applicable to Arcesium's India entities.
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor, working independently with cross-functional leadership including Human Capital, Finance, and Administration in India.
  • Identify legal and operational risks and provide practical, pragmatic, risk-adjusted solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage external counsel effectively to drive favorable outcomes within budget.

What you'll need

  • LLB from a premier or reputed law school or university in India.
  • Enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
  • 5 to 9 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) at a top-tier law firm, a leading corporate legal department, or a combination of both.
  • Proven track record handling contracting, corporate advisory, and employment law matters under Indian regulations.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders across global teams.
  • A natural ability to guide peers, support junior colleagues, and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.
  • A high degree of autonomy, with the confidence and maturity to drive projects independently from start to finish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and work seamlessly across diverse teams, global functions, and senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to balance legal rigor with commercial reality and business priorities.

Nice to have
