Manager - Manufacturing Operations

Overview

Manage the factory process end to end, from planning through shipping, so that quality products are delivered on time and at the right cost.

What you'll do

• Develop production schedules and plan resources, working with in-house and contract manufacturing teams to get the best results for the factory.
• Buy raw materials, track inventory, and make sure supplies are always available with optimum use of resources.
• Supervise assembly lines, ensure everyone follows safe working practices, and solve daily problems to get products finished correctly.
• Adhere to quality standards, check work at key stages, and quickly fix quality problems before products are shipped.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments and confirm the correct products are sent to customers on time.
• Serve as the designated Factory Manager as per the Factories Act, coordinating periodically with government authorities.
• Ensure adherence to factory-related compliance in collaboration with the Talent and EHS functions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field is usually required.
• 2+ years managing teams or operations in a factory or a similar environment, with experience in planning, buying, and stock control.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to lead staff and improve processes.
• Experience with manufacturing software for inventory management or scheduling.

Nice to have

• Understanding of process improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma).
