Manager, Member Innovation - Data Engineering

Overview

Manager, Member Innovation - Data Engineering leads the Member Innovation Data Engineering team at Netflix, partnering with Data Scientists and Product Managers to support innovation on the Netflix Product.

What you'll do

• Guide end-to-end projects from ideation through production.
• Provide team context and leadership that connects business and technology.
• Recruit and build a diverse, high-performing engineering team.
• Coach and develop employees through regular feedback.
• Partner with business and technical leaders across Netflix.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and advocate for action.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 4+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong programming experience (at least 1 major language) and SQL.
• Strong experience with distributed data processing technologies (e.g., Spark/Hadoop).
• Experience in a technical role with a large scale consumer-facing digital company.
• MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
