Overview

Mechanical Engineer role focused on system-level mechanical architecture, design, integration, and validation of precision patterning semiconductor equipment.

What you'll do

• Define system architecture, interfaces, performance budgets, and verification strategies.
• Translate process and product requirements into subsystem specifications and measurable targets.
• Design and integrate precision motion systems, substrate handling modules, tooling, and gas delivery systems.
• Perform thermal, structural, flow, tolerance stack-up, and FEA-based analyses to validate designs.
• Lead verification planning, qualification methodologies, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee system performance across motion, thermal, structural, fluidic, substrate handling, and controls interfaces.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and coordinate supplier and procurement activities for critical parts.

What you'll need

• Proven experience developing semiconductor/lithography/metrology/high-precision capital equipment.
• Strong understanding of precision motion, error budgeting and alignment strategies, and structural dynamics/vibration control.
• Experience with requirements engineering, interface management, and system verification.
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, ASME standards, and FMEA/FMECA/DFX methodologies.
• Ability to perform structural/thermal/modal/vibration/flow analysis and correlate simulation with experimental data.
• Advanced proficiency in UG NX and Teamcenter.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
