Overview
Lead Engineer (Structural Analysis) supporting structural analyses and the product development lifecycle for metallic aerospace components.
What you'll do
- Perform static, vibration, thermal, and fatigue analyses using hand calculations and FEA.
- Support the product development lifecycle from design through validation and field troubleshooting.
- Conduct detailed engineering hand calculations and FEA to assess structural performance.
- Support design reviews, technical discussions, and engineering presentations.
- Investigate field observations, identify root causes, and develop technical solutions.
- Apply aerospace standards and DO-160G requirements for structural and environmental analyses.
- Prepare engineering reports and documentation.
What you'll need
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in static, vibration, thermal, and fatigue analysis of metallic structures using hand calculations and FEA.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience using a commercial FEA package, preferably ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Icepak, or ANSYS Sherlock.
- Strong understanding of Strength of Materials and classical engineering hand-calculation methods.
- Experience with aerospace standards and clear understanding of DO-160G analysis requirements.
- Good technical writing skills for engineering documentation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for internal/external collaboration.
